Talent Gate Wins Bronze at the Brandon Hall Group™ HCM Excellence Awards® 2026 for Its Competency Framework Strategy for PVcomBank
In the early hours of August 14, 2026 (GMT +7), Talent Gate was proud to be recognized with a Bronze Award by Brandon Hall Group™ — one of the world’s leading independent research and analysis organizations in Human Capital Management (HCM) — in the Best Competency Management Strategy category under the Talent Management program of the HCM Excellence Awards® 2026, for its consulting and implementation project to develop a competency framework for Vietnam Public Joint Stock Commercial Bank (PVcomBank).

Award-Winning Case Study: Developing and Implementing a Competency Framework at PVcomBank
Faced with the challenge of standardizing workforce capabilities across its entire organization, PVcomBank partnered with Talent Gate to develop a comprehensive competency framework that would serve as the foundation for its end-to-end human capital management activities — from recruitment and assessment to learning, development, and succession planning.
The project was implemented based on an internationally aligned methodology, with several key components:
- Defining the value chain and job architecture: Analyzing the bank’s value chain and structuring its job architecture into clearly defined job families and job groups.
- Developing a Professional Competency Dictionary: Identifying core, managerial, and professional competencies for each position, providing a consistent foundation for competency assessment across the organization.
- Designing competency frameworks by job position: Linking competencies to actual job requirements and defining behavioral indicators across proficiency levels, making competency assessment more transparent and measurable.
- Knowledge transfer and internal training: Equipping PVcomBank’s core HR team with the capabilities required to operate, update, and scale the competency framework over the long term.
As a result, PVcomBank now has a comprehensive and standardized competency framework across the organization, providing a foundation for subsequent initiatives such as learning pathway development, personalized capability development, and succession planning.
This achievement is a clear demonstration of Talent Gate’s “competency-first” approach to human capital consulting and development.
