From complex specialized training slides, Talent Gate collaborated with Abbott to design a lively, engaging, and easy-to-understand eLearning course for their Pharmaceutical Sales Representatives. Talent Gate’s solution standardized training content, improved access to knowledge, and ensured long-term value for the company.
Project Background
Abbott is a global healthcare company where training its Pharmaceutical Sales Representatives plays a crucial role in ensuring quality advice and adherence to professional standards. However, most existing training materials were developed in foreign languages, highly specialized, and posed difficulties in implementing consistent and effective training in the Vietnamese market.
In this context, Abbott aims to build and design eLearning courses that not only transform traditional training into digital training, but also ensure professional accuracy while being suitable for the language, context, and learning abilities of Vietnamese students. The development of eLearning content needs to focus on practical application in the work of pharmaceutical sales representatives.
The Challenge
From the outset, the project set many stringent requirements regarding content, quality, and technology. The training materials utilize foreign sources with complex specialized content, requiring the implementation team to have a deep understanding and accurate processing of specialized knowledge when digitizing the lectures into eLearning format.
In addition, Abbott demands high standards for learning material structure, standardization, and learning experience during the design of eLearning courses. Technically, the training program needed to allow for learner classification based on test results, aiming to personalize learning outcomes within the same eLearning course, posing a significant challenge for Talent Gate in terms of digitalization.
Strategy and Solutions
Talent Gate initiated the project by connecting and working with a suitable team of experts, while also researching and referencing similar training programs from abroad. This process helped the implementation team grasp the context, terminology, and professional standards, creating a solid foundation for eLearning content development.
Next, Talent Gate’s experts collaborated closely with Abbott to clarify, unify, and standardize all input materials. Although this phase was lengthy due to the high level of expertise required, it was a crucial step in ensuring quality when building and designing eLearning courses.
Based on the standardized content, Talent Gate digitized the lectures and perfected the eLearning course with a clear and intuitive structure. Simultaneously, a technical solution was applied: Learner classification based on the results of a multiple-choice questionnaire integrated directly into the SCORM file, personalizing the learning experience according to each sales representative’s answers.
Achieved Results
Despite the lengthy content standardization process due to the complex nature of the subject matter, Talent Gate proactively coordinated resources and strengthened collaboration with experts and clients to complete the project on schedule.
The completed eLearning program not only meets immediate training needs but also provides long-term value, is easily updated, and expandable. Building upon this eLearning course platform, one year after the project’s completion, Abbott returned and continued its collaboration with Talent Gate to develop advanced course content, expanding the training program for pharmaceutical sales representatives.
